Acer Liquid TT with 1GHz out of the box?!

Today big polish webpage with mobile news informed, that in one shop you are able to buy brand new Liquid's with 1GHz CPU out of the box.

The Liquid is called: "Acer Liquid TT edition"

Take a look at shop site:

It costs 1499zł ~ 375€

That's probably a hoax, I think that they just use custom kernel (phh's?) and flash it on normal Liquid (with Eclair).

It's interesting, how salesmen want to increase they income using (probably) free community contributation.

What do you think?

But you are probably right, 256 megs of RAM makes no sense given the E at 768MHz had 512 megs of RAM.

And you are right. Saying the words "no loss of warranty" is pretty suspicious (and probably untrue) as well.

...and surely this story will end in a tribunal. I don't know the speed of the Poland's justice but in Italy (as far as I know) this won't be convenient.

As far as I know polish justice, nobody will give a sh*t about this, unless someone can benefit from it.

I've got answer from this shop, they didn't answered my question about official Acer support of these 1GHz devices, they didn't shared the build number and the kernel version.

They just mention that they have carefuly selected devices, which run 1GHz

Well, if they flashed the A1's with a custom kernel, doesn't that mean that they have to remove the Liquid from its original packaging? Try to take a look at the packaging or ask them about it.

I also have information, that they have (probably straight from Acer) firmware which supports polish language (none of .bin's which are out do so)

Seems to be interesting.

Maybe it's time to make little trip with friends and visit capital :D

The best part is that some Liquid's aren't even stable @ 1Ghz, so if they just bought Liquids in bulk, then flashed malez's recory, phh's kernel, and vache's camera, some of the Liquids they sell won't even work. If they accept returns from crashing Liquids, they'll be at a financial loss (since the original warranty isn't valid), and if they don't, their brand name suffers a ton... it's a stupid move without even mentioning the fact that phh, vache, and malez were neither given credit, nor will they receive royalties.

They probably test them before selling, and if they don't work they sell it as an orginal liquid. And the orginal warranty is valid, just flash it with the 39 .bin from acers webpage ;P

If they were Acer, they'd use their own software (they're the only ones to have access to 100% of it, after all :D ) and they'd make the 480p camera and 1Ghz clock speed official. Oh, and use stars next time instead of X-es please, it's easier to read that way.
