Read DivX Streaming from SMB

First of all, sorry for my english, I'm from Belgium... ;-)

I just searched on the web for a solution to read DivX files on a SMB share, but seams it's impossible. I'm a dev, newbee on Android but wanna learn ! Then I have a question :

Isn't it possible to make an app that will list a SMB directory and then launch the appropriate reader ? I mean, is it possible to launch a player and pass a filepath directly ? If the SMB is mounted, we can pass the full path of the file to an app no ?

Maybe I'm totally wrong ;-)

Why don't you use CIFS? No problems here streaming videos over wifi (LAN).

I've written to the Rockplayer creators about samba support and they said to me it was a good idea. They will probably integrate it in future release! hope they'll do it...
