Guest The Equalizer Posted August 16, 2010 Report Posted August 16, 2010 (edited) Hey Y'all I have a Desire on Orange. I debranded, & installed the OTA upgrade to Froyo 2.2 & also installed an app called SDK which seems to allow apps to be installed to SD card by default. This is great except that I seem to be down to around 15meg of internal memory? This would lead me to believe that maybe the apps are not going onto the SD card, so I check in the settings\Aplications\Manage Apps & all my apps are showing as on the SD card. If I check each individual program I have the option to move to phone? Which would lead me to think that the app is on my SD card. I have only kept on the internal memory any apps that requre widgets. So, what is zapping my internal memory? Many Thanks E Edited August 16, 2010 by The Equalizer
Guest 325i Posted August 16, 2010 Report Posted August 16, 2010 The SDK way does not move the app fully on the SD card, its only a partial amount. Best way is to change to a ROM with A2SD+. I have over 100 apps yet still got 80mb free.
Guest The Equalizer Posted August 16, 2010 Report Posted August 16, 2010 Cheers 325i So I guess I'm gonna need to root to put Apps to SD on? I've not looked into rooting at all as I thought having Froyo on there would be enough. It seems if i want to have all the space i need, I'll have to Root. Would you mind pointing me in the direction of the most simpest fool proof one around at the mo. There are so many ROMs available, I don't know which to go for, or how to go about doing it. I am a member of XDA Dev, & the amount of ROMs & Root guides is daft. I would welcome any simple advice or guides. Cheers E
