Guest Liquidator Posted August 16, 2010 Report Posted August 16, 2010 Well, basically just what's in the title... I tried downloading the package from the Acer website but it tells me I have a GEN1 phone and therefore cannot flash bin. Then I tried downloading from Xian's (chinese) link (just the .bin file) and flashing it with the Acer Download Tool, but that tells me MD5 Checksum is not correct... I'm trying to flash 1.100.63 because I want to install Xian's new ROM and I want to have the newest radio. Thanks for helping!
Guest Delnar_Ersike Posted August 16, 2010 Report Posted August 16, 2010 I think all of the leaked bins had incorrect MD5 checksums.
Guest cubens Posted August 16, 2010 Report Posted August 16, 2010 (edited) MD5 checksum error is normal after 1.100.09 with the A1 Tool. Since 1.100.39 there is an installer but that don't flash GEN1. Alternatively, you can use a nandroid backup i'd uploaded: 1.100.63.AAP.CAR1 http://www.multiupload.com/F9UO618HOM Edited August 16, 2010 by cubens
Guest HustlinDaily Posted August 16, 2010 Report Posted August 16, 2010 Is it possible to get the updated radio with the nanandroid?
Guest xian1243 Posted August 16, 2010 Report Posted August 16, 2010 The only way to get the updated radio is with flashing the .bin with the Acer Tool. It is completely normal for the MD5 hash to be invalid, just flash the .bin, and everything will be fine. :D
Guest malez Posted August 16, 2010 Report Posted August 16, 2010 I think all of the leaked bins had incorrect MD5 checksums. No, they are incorrect only in official rom 1.100.63 and 1.100.09. Before this ones, they were always ok. I think acer added extra datas after reall data or changed md5 chunk format. No matter because ADT manage to flash them. PS : hey Xian you are present on all posts I reply too :D. You will think I follow you :D
