Stuck on recovery on 3562

Hello,

Looking for a little help here as I'm stuck (likely on something simple).

I have a beta Streak (build = 3562) that I'm trying to eventually upgrade to 2.1, but I'm stuck.

1. I've rooted

2. I can get into recovery mode and select option 2 (upgrade from the sdcard).

3. I have an 'Update.pkg' on the sdcard.

But it won't install. I get a dell symbol and then some text from the android system recovery utility and that I should insert an sd card etc...Phone works fine when I reboot.

I'm probably just installing the wrong recovery, or something...

Any help?

what recovery are you using? the one that came with it? 00 baseband streaks won't directly upgrade to the 2.1 build as it's designed for 21 baseband (uk o2) devices..

there are already posts on here to tell you how to flash that build onto US streaks...

Got it.

There are a lot of instructions here (often deep in threads) and it can be a little hard to follow.

I used the dell mobile update to get my Streak to 4399 and then used the recovery to install the 2.1 update. Worked like a charm.
