Guest vampyre69 Posted February 6, 2003 Report Posted February 6, 2003 I tried to access this site last night from my SPV but a blank screen came up. I beleive the 1st problem is that the SPV net browaser doesn't support automatic redirection. It would be good to view the site though from a spv, kinda makes sense I think. Comments.... Regardez
Guest yatpeak Posted February 6, 2003 Report Posted February 6, 2003 Modaco showed up fine on my SPV... Maybe I went to www.modaco.com/smartphone though. Wyatt
Guest bdmoore Posted February 6, 2003 Report Posted February 6, 2003 I can view it on mine too, but it's a bit of a pain to read as you have to constantly scroll left / right / up / down to read the posts! Paul> Any chance of a nice SPV friendly access point to the forum? ;)
Guest TSCRYPTO Posted February 6, 2003 Report Posted February 6, 2003 The idea of an 'SPV friendly' version of this forum was brought up about a month ago, and then it faded away as most folk concentrated on unlocking the certification. Yes, viewing this forum is a pain on the SPV - its slow to load (even with graphics turned off) and of course, there is the constant scrolling around to read anything. How about a 'bare bones' version - a bit like the micrisoft Smartphone news group with is available on Chris de Herrera's CE windows website http://www.cewindows.net/pocketpc/newsport...blic.smartphone Please. Please... I love this forum - I have had my phone for a month now and I think its fair to say that the enjoyment that i get from using / playing with the SPV has all stemmed from posts on this forum. I would dearly love to be able to access Modaco quickly when I am not at my desk. How about it Paul - can we sort this? Cheers
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted February 6, 2003 Report Posted February 6, 2003 I have it in my plan, but my full time job is actually taking 12 hours a day atm, so not good ;) Maybe in a few weeks... P
Guest TSCRYPTO Posted February 6, 2003 Report Posted February 6, 2003 Delegate Delegate Delegate Delegate... ;) 8)
Guest bdmoore Posted February 6, 2003 Report Posted February 6, 2003 Paul> I'm more than happy to offer my services to help develop this if you want - it would take some of the pressure away from you, and I'm sure lots of people out there would love it!! Ben
Guest castlebrae Posted February 6, 2003 Report Posted February 6, 2003 A MoDaCo SPV site would be great.
Guest Rob.P Posted February 6, 2003 Report Posted February 6, 2003 Paul, seeing as we get all this marvellous content for free, I think you should demand that some of us help you, I wouldn't be put out by such a request, anyone who is should read the entire forum, top to tail and then tell us what they are getting isn't worth a few moments of their personal time.
Guest woody Posted February 6, 2003 Report Posted February 6, 2003 i am viewing on spv and scrolling after dk update is really easy bit slow on typing though

Guest TSCRYPTO Posted February 6, 2003 Report Posted February 6, 2003 What do you reckon Paul...? Can the services of others be utilised to make the necessary adjustments to the forum to make it SPV friendly?
