Flash BIN on OS X?

Probably a stupid question, but I was wondering if it's possible for me to flash the .63 CAR1 BIN on my .03 PA_ROG device through OS X. I tried using Acer Download Tool in a VM on Windows XP with all the correct drivers installed and my device does not get detected, any help greatly appreciated.

SAme problem on GNU/Linux. There isn't ( Yet?) an client for flash BIN, and by virtualisation, there're troubles with USB. So I keep an old PC on Windows XP with me ^^ He start only for that :D

Ok, so now I am on a Windows machine trying to flash OS_Acer_1.100.39.EMEA.GEN1_A21E BIN to my phone, but I get this error early in the process, "We are sorry! You can not upgrade your Acer Liquid using this image. Please download the image for your model. Your phone model is: ROG. I'm sure there is an easy fix, but I seem to be having trouble finding it, again, any help greatly appreciated.

EDIT: I'm guessing I rename the .zip file I downloaded to .bin and use the ADT instead of the setup.exe file within the .zip?

Also, I'm wanting to run Xian V1 ROM on top of a new BIN, to my knowledge .39 is the way to go? Or would anybody here recommend flashing the .63 bin first?

Don't touch to the file extension. The. Bin are rom you must flash with acer tools. .zip are file you must flash on the phone: copy the zip to the root of the SD card, and flash it in malez recovery .

For 1.100.39, if it's a zip, extract it to find a bin, or if you don't find it outra,it's a wrong file

So how did you go about flashing the emea image over the rogers rom? I've got the rogers rom as well and acer tool gives me the same error

I'm also interested in this as I have rogers rom as well. Is there any benefit of trying to flash the emea bin? Aside from upgrading the baseband, etc. I've had no issues with existing bin levels, so just curious...

You have to use the Acer A1 Download Tool 3.1 and flash the .bin

You MIGHT get an MD5 error, ignore that and flash the .bin anyways.
