Guest ntanghe Posted August 18, 2010 Report Posted August 18, 2010 Hi, I have installed the FLB rom. If I use RomManager to format the SD with ext 512MB and swap 0MB, app2SD is working automatically on next boot ? I must still move the dalvik cache on SD or no and how ? thanks
Guest Daz555 Posted August 18, 2010 Report Posted August 18, 2010 (edited) I used recovery menu to set the partitions correctly for A2SD but I'm fairly sure the method is not important, just the end result. But yes once partitions are set correctly, A2SD works automatically with FLB roms. You do not have to move the Dalvik cache to SD unless you want or need to (due to running out of space). It can be moved via the Terminal Emulator included in FLB roms. In the emulator type: su a2sd cachesd (This will move Dalvik cache to SD). a2sd check (This will check status of your current a2sd config). You need at least a class 4 SD card for Dalvik cache to work effectively. Any problems and the cache can be moved back with: su a2sd nocache Edited August 18, 2010 by Daz555
Guest Karbonator Posted August 18, 2010 Report Posted August 18, 2010 I used recovery menu to set the partitions correctly for A2SD Just a quick question about that: Which recovery image do you use? Could set the partitions with Clockwork recovery or do you use Amon-RA for example? I am asking because I can't find any way in Clockwork recovery for partitioning the SD card, this works only with Amon-RA for me. Which I think is quite strange actually. :D
Guest Daz555 Posted August 18, 2010 Report Posted August 18, 2010 To date I have only ever used Amon ra.
