Guest EZ44 Posted August 18, 2010 Report Posted August 18, 2010 (edited) Hello Everyone, Does the Weather Toggle Widget work properly for anyone on the Dell Streak? I tried this on 1.6 and now again on 2.1 but it always looks messed up. The clock looks great but the weather is always compressed and cut-off on the side. I have tried different skins but always the same result. I really like this application and just want to get it working. Check the screen capture to see what I mean. Thanks for any help you can provide. :D PS. I did send a support email to the creator as well so I hope to hear from him eventually Edited August 18, 2010 by EZ44
Guest spences10 Posted August 18, 2010 Report Posted August 18, 2010 Hi, I had this problem with my Beautiful Widgets 'Beautiful Home Weather' widget. Now because i dont use the standard launcher and instead use ADW Launcher I can specify the rows and columns on the home screen and after playing around with this I found that 6x6 worked really well. Take a look at my screens: http://android.modaco.com/content/dell-str...how-yours-here/ I know it's in portrate but it is perfectly fine in landscape too.
Guest Ellis Grouse Posted August 18, 2010 Report Posted August 18, 2010 This is due to the weird scaling Android employs on widgets in landscape mode... some clocks do it even worse (Fancy Widget, for example, looks absolutely ridiculous in landscape mode). As spences10 said, using ADW.Launcher may be an idea - it allows you to specify what size (on the grid) you want the widget, so it should be possible to bump up the width a bit in order to see whatever you're missing :D

Thanks for the suggestion I'll have to give that a shot. On a side note, the developer replied to my email and was not aware of the issue on the Streak. Hopefully that means he will look into it and be able fix it.
