Guest terminal_client Posted August 19, 2010 Report Posted August 19, 2010 Hey all, I used the Universal AndRoot app to root my streak, and installed Titanium Backup. The opening screen says that SQLite is not available therefore no market re-linking, and i get a warning screen pop-up that states BusyBox works but the "su" command does not elevate to root: "whoami" reports "whoami: applet not found" instead of root/uid 0. I think your "Superuser Whitelist" system app does not work. Please check with your ROM provider.[/codebox] Has anyone else had these issues or is it just me? Dell Streak; O2 UK; Stock Build 3883; Root Via AndRoot. Will be happy to supply anymore info as required.

If I recall correctly, it seemingly prevented me from installing any backups that I had made (making the backups was fine), although I think this could be fixable by choosing a different install method in the options (an option I didn't see -although it was there- until I upgraded to 2.1) Furthermore, I've seen `whoami: applet not found` being returned by whoami on different devices to the Streak (where Titanium works), which makes me wonder if there really is an issue, or if Titanium is just being a bit weird.

Ok, got the "whoami" issue sorted out by installing BusyBox from the "Problems?" button, but the SQLite issue still exists. Market re-linking is one major thing that differentiates Titanium from other backup apps, and it's my favorite feature. Any suggestions on sorting this out?

Hi All, I'm currently in conversations with the developer as I noticed this last week. I'm just trying out some fixes for him and it looks like he might have done it. JJ

Guest Amdathlonuk Posted August 21, 2010 Report Posted August 21, 2010 Hey, any news yet regarding the fixes? Hi, Yes, looks like he's fixed it. Let me re-install my 180 apps no problem. I don't want to post the .apk here without his consent. Let me speak to him and see what his response is. JJ
