Guest BigBearMDC Posted August 19, 2010 Report Posted August 19, 2010 i don't know if FLB1.41 can do SWAP?? No 2.1 ROM supports swap so far. Best regards, BB
Guest Totyasrác Posted August 19, 2010 Report Posted August 19, 2010 No 2.1 ROM supports swap so far. Isn't that true only for the Pulse? :D (I guess there are 2.1 ROMs supporting swap but none for the Pulse - so far :D)
Guest MuhaJR Posted August 19, 2010 Report Posted August 19, 2010 No 2.1 ROM supports swap so far. Best regards, BB Well, I have one android tablet (Eken M001) - not much of a device, but it has SWAP on 1.6 Donut with SDK 1.7.4 and 1.9.0.... And kernel is 2.6.29... So I guess it's just Huawei issue... But I'm not into linux so much and I could be wrong...

Just wait for T-Mob UK to release the kernel, which hopefully happens, and the guys on this forum with knowledge in compiling an modifying kernel can add swap in a jiffy :D
Guest arlindo.costa Posted August 19, 2010 Report Posted August 19, 2010 Does a app like Swapper help at all? Anyone using this app?
Guest rikkiej Posted August 19, 2010 Report Posted August 19, 2010 Need Root and kernel swap support. no

Guest Azurren Posted August 19, 2010 Report Posted August 19, 2010 The swapper app needs the kernal modifications

I ordered one too :D I'm waiting now for 4 weeks though ... =/ Of course I meant that no Pulse 2.1 ROM supports swap :D Once T-Mo releases the kernel source we might add swap support, recompile and repack it. But there's no way to get swap working without kernel support which we don't have at the moment. Best regards, BB

Best site for ROMs and stuff is here.

Yay I'm eagerly awaiting the Post man ;) I think the first thing I'll do is to put Debian onto it  I'm now waiting for pretty exactly one month, and their tracking site says that Australia is the destination service area although it should be (and hopefully is being) sent to Austria. However, I payed via PayPal, so I'd at least get my money back if it doesn't arrive. Best regards, BB

Best regards, BB Last Christmas I worked at Royal Mail and you would not believe the number of people that write Australia instead of Austria when sending Christmas cards. Of course it had to be sent to Australia first which then got sent back to the UK and forwarded on to Austria. So the reason you're waiting a long time is probably because it's being sent to the wrong country
