Dell Streak - No update.pkg

I tryed to install and upgrade to 2.1. That all went wrong and made my dell sit on the Dell logo when booting up.

So i thought i would revert to stock and try again.

When i open in recovery mode and select to apply update.pk etc it just goes to a blank screen and nothing happens.

It wont even open the screen to ask to install it.

Any ideas anyone?

Sounds like your recovery image is corrupt...

Just redownloaded the recovery image and re installed it.

I can boot in reocvery mode then when i click install update.pk etc

It just goes to a black screen. Nothing else

Make sure you installed the 1.6 recovery image and not the 2.1 one?

Still not getting anything and the Stock file doenst seem to be doing anything.

I click to execute it and it just opens and closes very quickly.

It still wont do anything.

I have followed everything there.

I open on recovery screen. Slick to apply update.pkg and i just get a blank screen. Never goes past it

I'm assuming the 2.1 update never applied at all?

You could try the custom recovery from the 1.6 topic then apply one of my rooted ROMs. These will only work if 2.1 didn't flash...

I can try that.

When i did the 2.1 flash it finished unpacking and what looked like was installing. Then it went to reboot and when it did it just sat on the dell screen

OK, in case you got 2.1 on there (kinda), flash the custom recovery for 2.1 and see what happens...

Ok ive tried all of the recovery images. Maybe im not installing them properly?

Put device in fastboot.

Install recovery.

Turn back on in rec mode and go to apply update.pkg?

When i goto apply update.pkg is just goes to a black screen and nothing else happens

Is that right, or am i missing something out?

I have managed to get it to goto the next screen using Clockwordmod recovery. But i cant get it to install any update.zip's.

Does anyone have an appropriate one. It says it cant mount the one i have.

Installed the stock image etc. But wont work. No idea why.
