Old root method and APP2SD [solved]

Hi,

I rooted my desire with one of the first Paul's guide, as far as I can remember it involved a linux live cd.

I'm totally happy with the root it's a great work, but now my internal memory is full and I would like to know how to set up APP2SD ?

I know it involve creating a partition on the sd card, but I don't know how, and if my rom will support it, well I'm a bit lost.

My rom version is : "2.1-update1"

Could someone help me with that please ?

Flash it with 2.2 r5 ROM, you will find there a link to the ROM with a2sd already in: http://android.modaco.com/content/htc-desi...th-sense-frf91/

OR you can play with r8 but you need to have access to the kitchen: http://android.modaco.com/content/htc-desi...-release-frf91/

Btw, I don't need to create any partition to my sd card in order to have a2sd working ?

Yes, you have to.

Flash your desire with r5 ROM, (is good to restart it after first boot).

Install ROM Manager from Market, there you can find option to partition your sd card. Thats the easiest way I think.

Set ext3 partition to 256 or 512, SWAP to 0 and tap OK.
