Guest smokku Posted August 20, 2010 Report Posted August 20, 2010 I tried downgrading my Streak from 2.1 to 1.6. After installing stock 4399 recovery it stopped starting at all. After power on the buttons light up, and then turn off... lights up and turn of... repeat. It just sits there blinking. Is there a way to recover from this state?
Guest GriZlore Posted August 20, 2010 Report Posted August 20, 2010 I am sure this is fixable, there are several threads already started which have similar problem to you. basically, have a look through the forum. I was seen one which echo'd your problem. If I see it, I'll link it to you
Guest yosemite-sam Posted August 20, 2010 Report Posted August 20, 2010 (edited) ive gone from 2.1 rebooting constantly to blinky lights after flashing back to 1.6 lol ok so i pulled the memory card and then booted up to 1.6 fine but now 1.6 blinks and reboots now lol that was my cure for black screen blinkies, when i did fastboot stock recovery then 1.6 flash it rebooted to black screen blinky lights. no button presses got me into fast boot or recovery menu. so i pulled the memory card out and it booted fine into 1.6, weird (:s) but it worked for me! ps in my case its always the home screen blinky not that black screen blnky, sim in = blinky on homescreen , no sim in = working, this is the case in 1.6 and 2.1. right now its fine in 1.6 without sim, screen times out as usual and power button turns it back on, once unlocked its running perfect, just don't like sims lol well i spoke to soon, seems my original problem is back, it would blink during use then reboot to blinky lights, pulling the battery would usually fix it. i had hoped this 2.1 would have fixed this but its the same. I was in the middle of installing an app and it started blinking and rebooted (no sim), pulling the battery just gives a black screen. Looks like this is going back to o2 for repair, the buggers said it would take 2 weeks so i hoped for an easier fix. Edited August 20, 2010 by yosemite-sam
