can't get through recovery

i have a HBOOT 0.83 desire。。。。i have flash recovery-clockwork-2.5.0.1-bravo-slcd.img,and then i flash CM,2.2.when the recovery is availdable(the first time get it recovery by using reflash)...but i can't get in the recovery when i use it without PC.....it always show me a htc logo in the screen...and i don't know what to do with it?how can i boot into a recovery?must i have to use gold card?

Maybe you need to flash the recovery again.

if you have clockwork recovery on your phone.

switch off your phone.

then hold both the volume down button and the power button. this should take you to the red triangle screen

you then hold the up volume and press the power button again to take you into the menus

Same with my new Desire but if you install rom manager and install clockwordmod recovery and use rom manager to reboot it works fine that way but not the other way
