Guest bostonguy Posted August 22, 2010 Report Posted August 22, 2010 Hi, I have a US AT&T Streak, running a rooted 2.1 (beta UK) build. Just before I got my Streak, I saw somebody that had the same build (2.1 leaked) on a UK Streak and he was able to remove the customized Dell status/notification bar(s). Unfortunately, I can't find the person (or even the post) to ask how he did it. I can't even remember if it was here (MoDaCo) or at XDA that I read it. (or maybe just a dream lol) If anybody has any ideas about how I might revert to the stock Android status/notification bar, or remembers the post/discussion I saw that would be awesome. Thanks.
Guest miker71 Posted August 22, 2010 Report Posted August 22, 2010 from my (very) limited knowledge I'd say that's not going to be possible without replacing some fundamental underlying frameworks. what you can do easily is replace the Launcher - the status bar remains the same though.

Thanks, and i agree it may be above my "hacking" pay grade as well. I figured I'd ask and see if it looked to messy, and/or get input from the guy (who seemed like a ROM dev they way he spoke) who posted having done it.
Guest Stephen Hyde Posted August 22, 2010 Report Posted August 22, 2010 id love to get rid of the dell status bar also, much prefer being able to drag down the notification bar myself
Guest adamwalker13 Posted August 24, 2010 Report Posted August 24, 2010 Use ADW launcher. Its nicer than dells and you can hide the dell bar at the top
Guest Paul Posted August 24, 2010 Report Posted August 24, 2010 I'm gonna look into this, because it annoys me when a notification pops up, you have to wait for it to 'go' before you can click the space to view it, you can't just 'drag down'. P
