Photos on 2.1

Hey, anyone else noticed on the 2.1 update gallery that when zooming in on photos it just gets heavily pixelated and doesn't (sorry, can't find the right words to describe properly) smooth them off once zoomed in?

My main camera is 10 megapixels and as such with 1.6 when I zoomed in the quality stayed fairly good, there would be a moment when the photos looked rather pixelated at 50% zoom and then the picture would adjust and show the picture as it should be.

It's a main reason I got the Streak, I hated the "converting pictures for iphone" crap, and on 1.6 the gallery did an ok (better than a lower res iphone version anyway) job of displaying pictures.

anyone else have this problem? I know the gallery is different and used on other android devices I think, anyone know if this is the case?

haven't noticed this myself, but haven't looked that closely either. i think i know what you mean though - i see it when scrolling graphics in the browser, but doesn't really bother me.

2.1 is beta and from what i hear the next official release will be a froyo build around end of september. maybe they'll have sorted it out by then.
