Unroot HTC Desire Asian (SEA) SLCD

How can i unroot a Asian HTC Desire with an SLCD screen. i installed the current 1.19.707.7 Asian ROM but it does not support SLCD. (Bricked my screen) :huh: i recovered using generic Europe ROM

any idea how i can re-store to factory state.

Here's the info what was it it before rooting

1.19.707.7 HTC Asia WWE ROM..

any help would be highly appreciated....

I believe i have the same problem! I tried to unroot my desire and although the phone is working (the front light works when charging the battery, and when i call it, it rings!) the display just won´t work, it is absolutely dead. I guess i have an SLCD screen, right? Which ROM specifically did you use, do you remember?

yes, seems like you have a SLCD Asian Desire. if you just want to unroot you can use the generic WWE ROM download from below link. It supports SLCD. However it's not the Asian Version hence, you will need to use a goldcard to install it.

you can download the ROM RUU_Bravo_HTC_WWE_1.21.405.2_T2_Radio_32.41.00.32U_4.08.00.09_release_137222_sig

ed.exe from shipped-roms.com (then got to the Bravo folder coz Desire's Code name is Bravo)

This is why you should always make sure the RUU of the ROM that was originally on your phone is available as a backup...

at last found a solution...

wht i did was, first installed the normal Desire Asian ROM. Yes it will brick your phone... then i used a card reader to put the Asian Froyo Update file to the sd card (Renamed as update.zip)

then i followed the SLCD bricked tutorials on how to install a Update to a SLCD brocked phone..

Hey guys..Im planning and wanting to unroot my phone. However, I cant seem to get the HTC Sync working n to recognize that my phone is connected to the com(USB debugging on my phone is switched on) what do i do??
