Guest peekofai Posted August 23, 2010 Report Posted August 23, 2010 (edited) I went against all logic and ignored the warnings in this thread because 1 person claimed it worked for them. What happened next was as Shauneh described: +++++++ Well this flipped my displays X and Y axis after I installed this. It messed up the graphics to the point where things would be white until they moved, and also my display (after the 3rd reboot) decided to completely display upside down. I then removed the 'Fix' but as you might know yourself, theres no remove option, you can only remove the installer. Anyone who uses Eris Market Fix be wary. Thanks, Shauneh +++++++++ I had to blindly find my way to enable the SD card be mounted over USB so I could flash a new version of 2.1 It seems to mess up whatever is stored on your system to be used to "restore to factory settings" so if you do this away from a pc and/or dont have access to a micro sd to usb adaptor you'll need to find another way to get get the .pkg file on to the storage card. I've spent all of last night and this morning restoring my apps and settings using Titanium backup, which is another issue all together. In SIMPLE terms: Dont use the bloody thing unless you're prepared to deal with 5 hours of heacahes PS: is there any way to use Titanium to restore apps and settings that doesnt result in the app crashing on start? The only way I can get it to work is to restore the apps without the data and set things up all over again (loosing any history etc). Even then, the apps dont seem to show up in Market as installed. Guest Shauneh Posted August 23, 2010 Report Posted August 23, 2010 I had to use AdamG's restore to be able to flash it again, also bare in mind I kept update.pkg on my microSD. There was a problem after first flash with the standard recovery mode but after a few hours of tinkering I got it working. I'm guessing most people make Nandroid backups to make sure this kinda thing doesn't take long to recover from o well. -- Shauneh
Guest prawnballs Posted August 23, 2010 Report Posted August 23, 2010 The same thing happened to me, annoyingly I ignore the part of the instructions I was following that said do a nandroid backup. I had to use AdamG method to fix in the end too.

Titanium backup should now work fine. I've been working with the developer to get it to work properly as I had the same issues. JJ
