Software to manage permission

Hi there,

Im looking at some apps permissions when installing them on my HTC desire and I dont trust the ammount of permissions most of the applications need... for example:

Im installing LauncherPro and its asking for permissions for "payed services" ... why would an app launcher need that kind of permission ? Or location ?? Is there a tool for android where I can manage the permissions on the phone and prevent those kind of malicious permissions ?
