Little Experiment (takes a few seconds !)

If this is a known issue , then I apologise, I have looked on the Forums and not seen it though.

Here's the experiment !

Lay you Streak on a flat surface - lift the end with the three sensitives up by about an inch (max inch and a half) and drop it . leaving the other end on the desk (sounds daunting ,but in reality we are not looking at much of a drop IMO )

Does your Streak power off ? Mine does 8 out of 10 times !

I dislike when people make big deals out of minor issues , or things you have to "make" happen ,but this strikes me as a problem , in an ideal world we'd rest our phones delicately down every time, but in the real world I feel that the kind of impact required to cause the power of is well with whatI'd consider to be "reasonable" in setting the device down !

Takes me back to the old Nokias, where you had to put a piece of folded paper in the battery compartment !

.... Or do I have a rogue device ?

Thanks - Mine does now too !

I'd had the battery in and out a few times , and the issue kept happening - took it out again and fiddled with the terminals on the phone to see if they could be adjusted at all , I am sure I felt one of them "click"

Put the Battery back and all is well now !

Whew ! I was pretty worried there !!

Sorry this is a bit of a non-issue !

No, you are not alone ! if you search on internet, & also in dell forums, you will see that lot of users have similar problems with the battery moving...

Mine also turn off in the same situation or If I hurt it a little bit  did not find yet the time to try a piece of paper of plastic between the cover & the battery...

This used to happen to me as well

I had to bend the contact under the battery cover out a bid and slightly bend the battery cover itself. Now it does not happen.

Mine turns off loads when just putting it down sometimes. Very frustrating, might try fiddling with the battery pins

The same with mine . Even if I tap with my finger the back side of the streak (from the speaker side) it reboots !

Tried taking out the battery quite a few times , but nothing !!!
