Guest spy1983 Posted August 23, 2010 Report Posted August 23, 2010 Hi I was searching some forums and found some programs that can overclock PDAs. Does anyone used any program to overclock Omnia? Any success? I have found a new program called Msm7kCpuSpeed. Anyone tried it with Omnia? Can you please share your experiences? Thanks
Guest andrew.mazlim Posted August 23, 2010 Report Posted August 23, 2010 No, because we (still!) love our i900 and we don't wonna... brick it, m8!
Guest chopperthedog Posted August 23, 2010 Report Posted August 23, 2010 we don't wonna... brick it, m8! No, I think he wants to get more battery life. The search function did reveal a number of threads. good day.
Guest lioryte Posted August 24, 2010 Report Posted August 24, 2010 There was something but the development stopped, however, it's not recommended since what it does is "disabling" the speed lock but the users can't control it (to adjust the speed) and so you'll have a very fast omnia with an overclocked processor running@650 and a battery life of about 2-3 hrs tops ;) Buy feel free to work something out
Guest lioryte Posted August 24, 2010 Report Posted August 24, 2010 where's the progme? you mean the one 4 post under this one ??? The one with the title: UnderClock using XCPUScalar Improves OMNIA lags!!, Speed Improves considerably with XCpuscalar ??? The one that pops out first when you google underclocking omnia ???? I think its the progme you are looking for
Guest thescope Posted August 25, 2010 Report Posted August 25, 2010 (edited) I tried it many times. I would suggest NOT to overclock. The effect on battery life is too extreme and the heat of the phone goes up allot. Also the program to overclock is old (XCPUScalar) and hard to use I was never able to return the CPU speed back to normal needed to flash a new ROM . Edited August 25, 2010 by thescope
Guest enrycko Posted August 25, 2010 Report Posted August 25, 2010 i think for omnia the CPU is very good.. Working on 600Mhz but the RAM is very bad.. thats only 128 MB... more RAM is very good i think 256MB work excellent on our omnia
Guest mirrco Posted September 23, 2010 Report Posted September 23, 2010 XCPUScalar not workin fin on omnia, i making benchmarks - corecodec player, but 100Mhz and 500Mhz... same points.. but i thing omniha was hotest and i must reflash because fast low battery. its f*cking program
