0.80 rooted to unrooted official rom?

im on a custom rom at the moment with 0.80 bootloader. vodafone uk have just released 2.2 froyo officially on 23rd aug.

ive been trying to unroot my phone back to a vodafone official rom but im not too sure if im doing it right

could any1 help?

i tried using my goldcard and using multiple ruu's but i keep receiving 131 error >_<

Beware, that if you unroot, and get the OTA update, you might not be able to root again, and get

all those nice MoDaCo roms.

True but I don't really use much custom stuff ^^ just want my phone to be official with 2.2 but I'm not sure how ><

Download this:

Connect with HTC Sync and run it and it should put you back to stock, allowing you to get the OTA update...

EDIT: If that link doesn't work as it seems to go up and down like a yo-yo) then Google the file name as you should find it elsewhere...

link seems to be down and i googled the filename but nothing came up T_T

im not sure if it was this ruu but i have tried a vodafone 1.19 before and it gave me a 131 or 140 error

Did you get it from Vodafone UK (as it's a VF UK RRU) or did you get your Desire from a 3rd party? If you got it from Vodafone then it shouldn't matter (unless you need a gold card in the handset, but I can't see why as the vendor ID will be the same)...

ye mine is a vodafone desire although i did have a goldcard in and tried to use other branded ruus just to try and still no help. i tried the link again lol seems to be down >_< guess ill have to keep trying but im pretty sure it wont work :huh:
