Guest Paul Posted August 25, 2010 Report Posted August 25, 2010 Welcome to 'Paul's App of the Day', where I pick one of my favourite apps as featured app of the day! Today's app is... Dropbox What they sayThe Dropbox app syncs your files between your computers and your mobile device. Now you can browse the files in your Dropbox folder from anywhere! Share links to files with your friends, save photos and video from your camera to your computers, and open files using your favorite Android apps. Small bug fixes. What we say If you're not familiar with DropBox (unlikely), it offers you 2GB of online storage free of charge (with an additional 250MB for each new person you refer) - click here for details [ref]. The real beauty of dropbox is the slickness of the service. The integration with your desktop environment is seamless, appearing as a regular drive (including on Mac) and the way that you can share folders in your dropbox with friends is incredibly useful. Add in the brilliant mobile client and you've got a real must-have solution. Paid premium plans are available should you want more storage space. Guest Asselberghs Posted August 25, 2010 Report Posted August 25, 2010 (edited) I´ve used Dropbox since Beta on the Windows platform, the Linux version since alpha stage and Dropbox on Android as soon as I could get my hands on it, though I believe it was called beta stage at that point. This is the best tool for this purpose on the internet. The Android app is super useful, works as neatly as the windows desktop version does, and it´s an awsome way to transfer apk files found on the internet to your phone, and also an excellent way of transfering your photos and video´s shot with the camera to your desktop. Go get it immediately you will not regret it, i promise you:) Kind Regards Asselberghs a looooong time Dropbox fan. Edited August 25, 2010 by Asselberghs
Guest PaulWilks Posted September 2, 2010 Report Posted September 2, 2010 Dropbox is cool. I'm a student so I drop a lot of my work and research into Dropbox. This means I can bring anything up I might need from my phone.
