Tasker, Streak, and Wifi/BT toggles not working

Anybody using Tasker on their Dell Streaks? (I'm running the UK Eclair

2.1 leaked ROM)

I just started playing with the Tasker 7 day trial, and it seems very

powerful.

However I can't seem to get the "turn on wifi" when a particular app

is launched to work.

The wifi icon never shows up in the status bar on my Streak, and the

apps don't recognize it as enabled, however the "power control" widget

and the drop down of the notification bar does show wifi enabled/

disabled as expected (app launched or closed).

Other events (say brightness to max if app x is launched) seem to work

fine.

But so far neither wifi nor Bluetooth toggles - which are two big ones

for an app like this - seem to work properly.

Anybody having any luck with this on their Streak?

Thanks!

Wifi displays ok on mine both 1.6 and latterly 2.1 build on an O2 locked Streak (Tasker versions 1.0.8m).

I do use ADW launcher rather than the vanilla Dell home screen though.

Wifi takes a few seconds to establish a connection - your apps may be requesting data before it's up and running.

Huh, that's very strange. If I set the browser to initiate wifi, and then wait for say 20 secs after launching the browser to browse to a local http source (192.168.xxx.xxx) it won't connect. But when I close my browser, I see the indicator lights of "power widgets" wifi going dark, as if it had been started.

I'm going to have to do some more testing, thanks for confirming it does work, I'll see what I can see on my end.
