Guest piksaus Posted August 24, 2010 Report Posted August 24, 2010 Hi, I made a rom using the online kitchen and want to install it on my phone(phone is rooted) now so I copied the downloaded rom to the SDcard of my phone. I then rebooted the phone into recovery using rom manager and "updated" the phone with clockwork recovery (select zip) but now my phone wont boot anymore it boots up and then gets an error something like acore.android shut down and then it reboots ... putting my backup back now(hope that still works ) am I doing something wrong ??
Guest afiorillo Posted August 25, 2010 Report Posted August 25, 2010 Have you tested the downloaded ROM ZIP file against WinZip "Test" feature? Perhaps you got a broken download.

As @afiorillo already suggested, you may have a corrupt download. What does ClockworkMod recovery say? Does it say your flash was successful? Also, did you check the MD5 Sum of the Zip file after you downloaded it? Regards, Kiran
