Guest Evi1d33d Posted August 24, 2010 Report Posted August 24, 2010 I draw a straight line down the screen with a ruler and as you can see on the top part is off and it gradually gets better. I ran the align screen program but stuck in a loop... So do I have to get another digitizer or is there a way I can manually calibrate it? I was thinking about messing with the calibrationdata entry in the registry. I'm using i910 with DC22 but it's been doing since FC03.

Guest Evi1d33d Posted August 25, 2010 Report Posted August 25, 2010 Thanks for the tip, but I just can't get out of the loop  I already checked the registry and it's already using the 'magic numbers'. I think the numbers are center and corner coordinates, I'll probably just mess around with the numbers and see what happen.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Hardware\Devicemap\Touch\CalibrationData ”519,503 177,881 182,129 847,127 849,872” these values right? they look like {center, top-left, bottom-left, bottom-right, top-right} the idea is the same, try to move one of the crosses a bit to the left. the corresponding numbers of the images i posted should be something like: ”519,503 177,881 182,129 847,127 749,872” and ”519,503 177,881 182,129 747,127 849,872”
Guest Evi1d33d Posted August 25, 2010 Report Posted August 25, 2010 Thanks for the help but I think the touch screen is gone. The top left corner is completely messed up and I don't think the cablibrationdata will take negative numbers lol. I'll just get a new digitizer then, they are like $4.
Guest Gandulph Posted August 27, 2010 Report Posted August 27, 2010 Hi, you will definitely need to replace the digitizer. I had the same problem with my omnia after 1.5 years of usage... luckily i bought it with a 2 years warranty so i sent it back to the store and they gave me a brand new omnia since they didn't have any digitizer to replace on my phone.
