Guest Darkthor Posted August 24, 2010 Report Posted August 24, 2010 (edited) Hello and sorry for being a newbie...but I'm not quite... I have been digging and trying different TCPMP builds that should play on2 vp 6.2 video streams and i;ve been hitting nothing but dead ends so far.I blame my lack of knowledge so far,but please don;t flame me just yet. Here is the problem data: i own a i900 8gb omnia. it works flawlessly. i am trying to play in tcpmp a flv video stream i found on shoutcast (futurama junkie) and the best i could do was to get audio, but never video. i am using wifi, always as a net connection, and i have excellent signal. i,however, don;t know how to make this specific stream to work on my omnia. as stated above,i am using a windows mobile 6.1. dxia5/dzia5 standard rom, nothing cooked (didn;t have the guts to do it so far). after a hard reset,i installed phenom3's tcpmp and it worked, after trying several tcpmp's that have the infamous 6.1 error at some tcpmp's (not working) so this is my question...on this fresh clean omnia, can i make a stream play like in vlc,or winamp? if yes, where can i find non-flv formats?(this is a side-question,yes...but i;m looking into all the options available here) i'm at your disposal, gentlemen. Guest Darkthor Posted August 25, 2010 Report Posted August 25, 2010 ummm...anyone? bump? any thoughts, anything?
Guest bimbam69 Posted August 25, 2010 Report Posted August 25, 2010 You could try this updated TCPMP (just make sure you unninstall current TCPMP, and delete TCPMP folder located in Program Files). Also note that on2 vp6 is heavy format so you might experiance a lot of lag while wathching video. If this doesnt help, you could post some links or how to acces the file/strem for me to try out.
Guest Darkthor Posted August 26, 2010 Report Posted August 26, 2010 (edited) hi. i tried it..same error...on2 vp6.2 not supported... here is the stream in 2 different files....i;ve tried shortening it because of the invalid URL ( due to length error i;ve read here) so there are 2 streams...just put them both in winamp and one will start playing. the stream ,as far as i've tried it... 208 kbps, vp62 320x240 @25 fps~158 kbps, AALC LC~48kbps after i add them both to playlist (xxx and xxx2...don;t let the name fool you), after a first on2 vp6.2 error ,the second play button gives only audio.Stream.zip Edited August 26, 2010 by Darkthor
Guest bimbam69 Posted August 26, 2010 Report Posted August 26, 2010 (edited) Well your posted streams are playable on previously posted TCPMP, but I've experienced random crashes during playback and video had random distortions making it almost unwatcheble. In your case if you still getting a message that on2 vp62 codec is no supported, you need to do a clean install of TCPMP, to ged rid of leftovers from other TCPMP versions. Do the following: Unninstall current TCPMP; Go to \Program Files folder or \Storage Card\Program Files (it depends where TCPMP was installed), delete TCPMP folder (if it exists); Using a registry editor go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software and delete TCPMP key (again, if it exists); Install TCPMP again, now it should play that stream. Guest Darkthor Posted August 27, 2010 Report Posted August 27, 2010 (edited) well...after checking each and every place you noticed, and also looking for other remains...nothing.... still error . am i missing something? Edited August 28, 2010 by Darkthor
Guest bimbam69 Posted August 30, 2010 Report Posted August 30, 2010 I'd say check again, if you tried several custom TCPMP versions, downloaded extra plugins, then the chances that you have remains are realy high. Try to use a search and search for TCPMP folder also check registry for TCPMP key and delete them. Also you could try to install TCPMP to another storage place in that case deletion of TCPMP key in registry is crucial. And after that if you still get that error open TCPMP then go to File->About, then Options->Dump Settings and attach dump.txt in this forum.
