New rom flashed : sms app won't display contact picture [solved]

Hi ;)

I just rooted my phone with this method http://android.modaco.com/content/htc-desi...mcr-r5-archive/,

and partitionned my sd card for A2SD, everything is working great, i'm happy with the rom, but there's just a little bug that I can't fix :huh:

The htc app for sms doesn't display contact picture anymore, does anyone already encountered this problem ?

Any solution ?

How much time passed since you ran the very first Google account synchronization? If the answes is "less than ten minutes", then please wait a bit. :huh:

Well, in fact I flashed my phone yesterday, and the problem is still here :huh:

But the strange thing is, the pictures are displayed good in the contact listing, and in the favorites contacts htc app,

whether they come from facebook or from my sd.

It just doesn't display in the sms app, everywhere else it's fine.

Any idea ? ;)

Did you use "Fix permissions" in ROM manager? It kills the sms pictures in Modacos rom's.

I've got the same issue. I did run fix permissions a couple days ago before wiping and installing the rom. Is there a way to resolve this?

Fixed it. Backed up all my messages using sms backup. Then cleared all my contacts and messages using titanium backup. Rebooted, then resynced my contacts and restored messages. Did another reboot and everything was there.

Seems bit of an OTT way to get them back, anything simpler that'll work? I'm getting the same prob'.

Sorry but how did you clean your contacts using Titanium? I don't find any options...
