Oh-oh... No answer... Edited August 25, 2010 by Fusion0306
Guest Simon O Posted August 25, 2010 Report Posted August 25, 2010 I'm convinced the seller isn't even selling the update but a bit of text taken from these very forums. I wonder if it's someone amongst us.. <becomes suspicious of anybody in the North>

Guest Swiftes Posted August 25, 2010 Report Posted August 25, 2010 Oh no im from Manchester  Dan haha Reported him to ebay, not on imo.
Guest ringer Posted August 25, 2010 Report Posted August 25, 2010 To be fair to the ebayer - he is offering phone support to purchasers as well as instructions on how to upgrade, and not every Pulse user reads these forums. We all know how to upgrade for free, but not everyone knows how to or has the inclination to find out for themselves. He is offering a useful service at a reasonably cheap price. I say good luck to him.
Guest JingleManSweep Posted August 26, 2010 Report Posted August 26, 2010 I say good luck to him. Are you from up north?

Guest JohnPorter Posted August 26, 2010 Report Posted August 26, 2010 I've asked him a question, why is he selling it and does he know it been withdrawn by T-Mobile
Guest Simon O Posted August 26, 2010 Report Posted August 26, 2010 I've asked him a question, why is he selling it and does he know it been withdrawn by T-Mobile ;) Oh no, I can imagine his next listing: "RARE 2.1 UPDATE FOR T-MOBILE PULSE."
Guest JimJam707 Posted August 26, 2010 Report Posted August 26, 2010 Oh no, I can imagine his next listing: "RARE 2.1 UPDATE FOR T-MOBILE PULSE." Endangered Eclair?
Guest Fusion0306 Posted August 26, 2010 Report Posted August 26, 2010 (edited) Oh no, I can imagine his next listing: "RARE 2.1 UPDATE FOR T-MOBILE PULSE." That means that I can sell it too :money: :money: LOL (I always download and keep all the updates on my hard drive) CHA CHING ;) :( :D Edited August 26, 2010 by Fusion0306
Guest BigBearMDC Posted August 26, 2010 Report Posted August 26, 2010 I got a few old pictures lying on my hard drive, some music stuff too. Didn't know you can now sell data crap via eBay  Hell imagine someone sells you a PC game via eBay and then - after you purchased it - sends you the torrent file via email ;) Best regards, BB

Guest deadphill Posted August 26, 2010 Report Posted August 26, 2010 As TMUK not supporting 2.1 update anymore, isn't he selling a product which could void buyers' handset warranty without informing them? Doubt it, anyone could have come along and updated their pulse then not seen the withdrawal. As long as its t-mobile 2.1 rom any warranty should be honoured. Cheers Phill

I'd be carefull... You can always return to 1.5 though. Maybe he offers a downgrade service too  Best regards, BB

Maybe he offers a downgrade service too  Best regards, BB Their major issue is going to be proving you installed the update post them withdrawing it. I think it depends on the country you are in but if you downloaded the uk version and have a uk t-mobile pulse, I would really like to see them say its out of warranty. Im not sure it would stand in uk law anyway, being as t-mobile have already themselves provided this update. And thats without someone making a fuss about it. It would be a PR disaster if that broke out! Anyone in the UK, I wouldnt worry about it if you have already flashed this, however if you want 2.1 I wouldnt use it anyway and I would use one of fibbles roms. Much better, but it will void your warranty if you cant flash back and need to return your device! Cheers Phill

Cheers Phill Considering most of his buyers do not know Tmobile support site and easy download instructions provided there or Modaco helpful community and all these great 2.1 ROMs, I doubt they would know about 'download provided and removed' issue.

Well thats true. I was referring to the theory not the practice!! Still the fact we have written so much on it, might help someone who is doing a search on google who might be in the doo doo!! Me too....I've emailed him again stating that fact it doesn't say that on his listing and that if he did tell everyone it was a modified version he wouldn't be getting "unhelpful" emails
