Guest Fone_Fanatic Posted August 26, 2010 Report Posted August 26, 2010 (edited) So I got my Streak at 8PM and now its 1:45AM and i can't get fastboot to work! I've installed the sdk, added fastboot and adb to .bash_profile adb --help brings up the help text so i know its working adb devices lists the device fastboot --help shows the help text yet when i try to flash a recovery image fastboot flash recovery recovery.img i just get <waiting for device> i tried with the streak in recovery mode and running in the OS, still same thing. what am i doing wrong? All my searches come up with resolutions for XP and its solved by updating the driver, yet i'm on a mac and theres no need for drivers. Edited August 26, 2010 by Fone_Fanatic
Guest mzsigler Posted August 26, 2010 Report Posted August 26, 2010 ./fastboot-mac -i 0x413c flash recovery recovery.img
Guest Fone_Fanatic Posted August 26, 2010 Report Posted August 26, 2010 (edited) ./fastboot-mac -i 0x413c flash recovery recovery.img i've tried that before and still the same thing... thats -i (number zero)x413c correct? scratch that, tried it with O instead of 0 and i get error: invalid vendor id 'Ox413c' also i've renamed my fastboot-mac to fastboot to make life easier... is that what is causing the issue? also since i just learned how to use terminal recently whats the difference between ./command and command? And yeah, if you renamed it, ./fastboot -i 0x413c flash recovery recovery.img
Guest mzsigler Posted August 26, 2010 Report Posted August 26, 2010 And it needs to be in fastboot mode, not device on.
