r8 vs. r5 vs. rooted OTA

I'm currently trying to decide if I should put one of the new r8 prebakes on my phone. I had Paul's r5 on there previously, but my phone rebooted automatically several times in just a weeklong period, i think twice when playing with the wallpaper, once in maps, and two other random times or so. So I ended up putting on the rooted OTA on, and with no modifications, have been running perfectly for the past several weeks. Is it common for the modified versions of android to have these kind of rebooting or other problems, versus the official releases? How is everyone going with the r8 with a2sd+?

Oh, could the r5 problems I was having be due to not wiping my phone before flashing the new rom? When I put the rooted OTA on I wiped everything clean before flashing.

Peace and Liberty,

No it's not common so give r8 a bash. I'm running a custom-baked version and haven't had a reboot never had with any ROM in the 5 months I've had my Desire

Probably due to not wiping before the install. Over the past few weeks I have used R5, 6, 7, 8 without any rebooting problems.

Try wiping and do a fresh install. If that does not work bake a new rom or use a prebake, as you can apparently sometimes get a corrupt download.
