First of all I'm sorry if I post is in wrong section, I did search but I didn't find anything (or maybe I don't know what to search).

So, I'm having problem with my Omnia i9000, I can't tap/touch the bottom left screen anymore, I tried to do the calibration with registry and it's not working. Is there any other software solution for this? If no, then maybe a hardware solution, so I know what to tell if I'm going to repair shop (so they don't cheat me or anything).

Thank you very much.

PS: I even tried hard-reset because there is a problem with my registry before and do calibration after hard-reset and it's not working either.

Hi there,

I'm affraid I can't really help you out, but I did had a similar problem:

On my omnia, I noticed there was a small patch in the middle of the screen (about 1cm²) that wouldn't react on touches. I could press there in that small area all i wanted but the omnia didn't react.

It seemed that my phone's warrantee was about to expire in a month, so I flashed an original samsung rom, checked that the problem was still there, and brought it back to the shop for repair. After less than 2 weeks, i got my omnia back with a brand new screen on it (for free ofcourse, warrantee rules!). Works like a charm now, and i also have a completely unscratched screen :-)

So if yours is still in warrantee, you're lucky and you should take yours back for repair asap.

Otherwise, I wouldn't know the cost of having the screen replaced.

btw, does anyone else has/had this problem ? I din't really read about this here before but it seems that I'm not the only one.

No, unfortunately I don't have the warranty anymore, I got it like 2 years back. Thanks anyway for your response. Anyone else?
