Guest TGWS Posted August 27, 2010 Report Posted August 27, 2010 Isit possible, So when i go to text, or use the keyboard, The first letter is a Capital. Without hafting to use the Shift Key to get a Cap first? Thanks.
Guest Willz Posted August 27, 2010 Report Posted August 27, 2010 Sure is. Go into the settings of whatever keyboard you use, and the option will be there.

Guest skandigraun Posted August 28, 2010 Report Posted August 28, 2010 (edited) The prediction starts every new sentence with a capital (although using the prediction can be annoying). In Android keyboard settings You can find an option 'Auto-capitalization'. I guess that's what you are looking for, but you need to use the android keyboard for that to take effect. Quick fixes needs to be enabled also. Edited August 28, 2010 by skandigraun

I hate that, Now i have a problem, Either i use predictive texting or i suffer and have to keep using the bloody shift key. Android need to make a fix for this. Thankyou anyway. Thomas.
Guest skandigraun Posted August 28, 2010 Report Posted August 28, 2010 It is because of TouchPal, not android. The android keyboards knows it. You only have to check the Auto-capitalization and Quick fixes (no 'Show Suggestions' and no 'Auto complete') in Android keyboard settings menu. You can easily change to android keyboard: touch and hold your finger in any empty text field (like start to write an empty message), and you will get a menu 'input method'. In this menu you can select the Android keyboard. It can be used just like TouchPal, slightly different. For me at least TouchPal does not make so much difference.

How do i use the Android Keypad instead of the Touchpal one?
Guest skandigraun Posted August 28, 2010 Report Posted August 28, 2010 Just start a new message for example. Tap the text field, and hold your finger in it for a second or two, You will get a menu. Here select 'Input method', and you will be able to select Android keyboard instead of TouchPal.

Guest skandigraun Posted August 28, 2010 Report Posted August 28, 2010 Sorry, it comes with the 'Quick fixes' option. But it does not affect anything, it vanishes after a space.

Thankyou so much  I see, The 2.1 Update has Bug's, Like not receiving SMS's. and stuff, So are Tmobile going to release 2.2? Anytime soon, Or just fix the Bugs in 2.1? Any idea? Cheers. Thomas
Guest skandigraun Posted August 28, 2010 Report Posted August 28, 2010 (edited) Well, T-Mobile UK is working on the bugs of 2.1 currently (see this topic), and there are rumours about 2.2 to be released for Pulse also (without ETA), but to tell the truth i do not think that either T-Mobile or Huawei will release it. Our Pulse is a discontinued product with a relatively weak hardware, but of course i hope for the best also. The developers on this furom will release it much sooner, if there will be any official release at all. Edited August 28, 2010 by skandigraun
