Playing Music - Limit of MP3?

Hi All,

I am trying to install my music onto my external card (32GB) and no matter how I get the files on to the card (Kies, Copy onto card via explorer etc) I hit a limit of around 443 files (around 17 albums). I have tried putting the mp3's into different folders but nothing is helping.

If I copy straight to the card it corrupts my card and I have to re-format the card each time, or if I copy them via Kies they show up in the media player but say file is not supported. If I reboot the mobile they are gone and only shows the amount that it seems to support?

I have put all the albums on the mobile in different batches to see if the files are corrupt but they all play, I just can't get them all on at the same time. The total files are around 3gb at the moment have a lot more i'd like on it but i am not even getting this much on there at the moment.

Any Ideas

Cheers

Craig.

I've got more than that on my 8GB card with no issues. Are you certainly it's a reliable 32GB card? I once bought an 8GB flash drive for £80 from a reputable supplier only to discover that only the first 2GB was usable - as soon as I went over that the files became corrupt!

Just a question here, is the card formatted as FAT32?

I think your sdcard might be corrupt/bad. I have 7gb (over 700 files) on my transcend 16gb sdcard, no problem at all with music player.

Thanks, That worked. I got another card and all is good. Cheers for that.

Lots of cheap 32gig cards are not actually 32gigs. They cheat and make the card report more storage than it actually has.

plenty of fake sandisk cards out there doing this too.

be careful what you buy, if its too cheap to be true it probably is
