I flash radio rom in my Desire this morning. However, when I reboot my Deisre, it seems doesn't work any more.

No response when I hold the power button even power button + volume down. Can anyone help me?

Hi, when you say you flashed your radio can you say what happened, the screen should have gone blank for a while (which is normal) and then the phone should have booted to the Operating System... the key with a radio flash is to LEAVE the device to do what it needs to and not interrupt the process / touch the phone or you'll end up with a brick :D I'm afriad that is what I think you have, and there is no way to recover this :D ;) :P

Your best bet is to send it back to HTC for warrany replacement, good news is they shouldn't be able to tell it was a bad radio flash that caused the issue so you'll get a shiney replacement Desire :( - might have an SLCD screen, which is another discussion... If they ask you what happend just say you rebooted it (which you did) and it wouldn't turn on (which it wont) - less is more here  ;)

Hope you get it sorted matey - sorry it's not better news, I might be wrong, but modaco and xda-dev have many posts with the same symptoms as you :D

ic, I thought that I'd done a very stupid thing. I found that there was no response after the installation, I pulled out the battery from my Desire.

Is it possible to repair it if I send it back to HTC?

ah, pulling the battery is bad... as I said during the radio flash the desire screen is blank (nice one HTC!) and must not be interrupted...

HTC will probably test the unit, confirm it is dead and swap it out totally or just the dead board - they want to get your "repaired" unit back to you as soon as possible so you'll most likely end up with a reconditioned one... later they take a look at it and see if they can reclaim the working parts..

From what I've heard you want to contact HTC directly as it is quicker - if you go through your mobile op they fiddle with it then send to it HTC, who send it back to them, and then on to you which slows it down greatly..

Good luck!

oooh........it's really a bad news to me. My desire with amoled display was bought in 2 months ago, I don't wanna replace it by SLCD display.

Hey that is good to know. I have been cooking in the radio whenever I baked a new ROM. Perhaps I will just leave it out next time I bake a ROM.

Thanks for the info.

Regards,

Kiran
