Hey their,

recently get my acer liquid e and installed Acer_LiquidE_1.100.39_EMEA_GEN1.bin rom. I'm now trying to get oc 998mhz working without getting wifi killed.

So my question is, do you know any 1.100.39 boot.img modded for 998mhz ?

Thx !

first of all i would strongly suggest that u stop using the .39 bin as if u plan on using it stock without any custom rom, it had many bugs and was therefore discontinued by acer. Plus i don't think that there is any OC'd boot img available for stock .39 (or any other bin), but i might be wrong.

So what should i use ? I do want a stock rom with only 998Mhz core.

if u absolutely DO want a 998 mhz boot, then why not give the roms a try. if u don't like the results, you can always revert back! since u like to stay stock i would have recommended xian v1 (as it is very close to being stock, with lots of optimizations) but it can only be overclocked upto 960MHz AFAIK. So the next obvious choice is lcr 1.8.. just give it a shot. links can be found in my signature.

Here's a list of all the official 2.1 ROMs for the Acer Liquid. Since you're using the stock ROM, the ROM you use should be based on where you are and/or your provider (AAP if you're Asia/Asia Pacific, EMEA for Europe/Middle East/either Africa or Australia, I forget what the last A stands for). However, if you're going to use English anyway, you should choose .63 AAP in my opinion.

If you want a 998 Mhz core, you should install malez recovery after you install the official ROM (as installing a new bin, as we call it, overrides recovery). I don't know where you'll find a 998 Mhz boot.img, but apparently Vache and phhusson created a couple overclocked boot.img's in the past. I don't think I can link to them directly; however, andrew2511 created a Windows tool that, IIRC, includes the overclocked boot.img's and lets you flash them easily.

0.63 is AAP which mean no french on it. Is their anyway to save my liquid in is actual state then update bin and restore it ?

Then i just need the latest european release so far. Just did the backup using Recovery by Maloz. I dont know how to make a proper update, each time im updating bin im using acer tool. Is that the good way (it will remove Recovery by Maloz right ?)

i think that is the only way.. and yes when u flash a new bin, it overwrites the recovery and u have to reflash malez recovery.

recovery restore cannot restore the bin. just the settings and some libs. core things like baseband etc remain the same.
