Guest Greenarcher Posted August 29, 2010 Report Posted August 29, 2010 (edited) I figured a lot of people want this instead of a nandroid backup so here you go. You're all welcome. Be aware that you will need to upload the fixed build.prop (recommended for US users) and change the boot animation (optional). Unpack the zip file and use stock recovery to flash this update. My OEM version is GAUSB1A120521-US Password is streakthis Thanks and donations are much appreciated. http://www.mediafire.com/file/tb42d7n3r8cd...id2.1update.zip https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_...d=RB9E2DJP22JMU Edited August 29, 2010 by Greenarcher

Guest Greenarcher Posted August 29, 2010 Report Posted August 29, 2010 (edited) I received the notification a couple of days ago. That's weird how most people didn't get notified. Anyone tried it? How'd you get the update anyway? I haven't recieved any notifications  Edited August 29, 2010 by Greenarcher
Guest pooey Posted August 29, 2010 Report Posted August 29, 2010 Can someone confirm if this is legit? At work ATM. Also am i missing something or is 21_us a bit wierd? Thought there was only 21_EU.
Guest dairymasta Posted August 29, 2010 Report Posted August 29, 2010 Super weird considering you're on AT&T as well...I'm on O2 and I've gotten nothing!
Guest Shauneh Posted August 29, 2010 Report Posted August 29, 2010 Link is down for me :/ I'm on EU version is this safe for me? Thanks, -- Shauneh
Guest pooey Posted August 29, 2010 Report Posted August 29, 2010 Can we get a screen cap of the 'about phone' page showing baseband and firmware version?
Guest dairymasta Posted August 29, 2010 Report Posted August 29, 2010 (edited) Screw it, flashing it now. Will tell you guys if it's legit. EDIT: Whilst flashing built date says august 5 2010, seems recent. EDIT: Flash done, this is indeed legit. Get updating fellas. Edited August 29, 2010 by dairymasta
Guest coxblox Posted August 29, 2010 Report Posted August 29, 2010 downloading now, will report back too (coming from o2 6941 build).
Guest dairymasta Posted August 29, 2010 Report Posted August 29, 2010 (edited) How odd...I get serious lag with the long press on the home screen? All the widgets are wider too....facebook finally sync sthough. EDIT: Scratch that, fbk doesn't sync. Edited August 29, 2010 by dairymasta

Guest coxblox Posted August 29, 2010 Report Posted August 29, 2010 update seems good on o2 uk dell. psx4droid faster on this new build but widget sizes are getting ridiculous...with each release we are getting less and less sceen space.
Guest courtlandre Posted August 29, 2010 Report Posted August 29, 2010 update seems good on o2 uk dell. psx4droid faster on this new build but widget sizes are getting ridiculous...with each release we are getting less and less sceen space. They made it so we couldnt delete the screens. Now they are going to force you to use them! At dell: It seems people arent using all the home screens... hmmm.. lets make the icons and widgets bigger!
Guest Amdathlonuk Posted August 29, 2010 Report Posted August 29, 2010 Can the OP update the first post with flashing instructions? I have a rooted DELL unlocked but stock recovery. Used to flashing my Nexus or G1 so not sure how to on the Dell?!
Guest zoidster Posted August 29, 2010 Report Posted August 29, 2010 Thanks Is anyone else finding this ROM a bit slow and laggy - Any system dialogues that come up seem to fade in slowly and jittery, as if resources are running low , rather that smooth & Quickly like the "older" 2.1 Or is it just me ?
Guest Paul Brown Posted August 29, 2010 Report Posted August 29, 2010 Flashed fine here, seems to be a complete Update.pkg, i dont think this is the Official 2.1, seeing as my Version still reads 2.1-update1. I'd have thought when the official, final 2.1 it'd jus say version 2.1. I do agree with the speed, it doesn't feel as 'snappy' as the older 2.1's, but it does seem a little more stable!
Guest CharlieBareham Posted August 29, 2010 Report Posted August 29, 2010 So an update that seems a bit sluggish? I will wait for more reports of the entire rom before flashing. The last 2.1 update is running fine for me so unless anything has improved.
