Guest mr.a Posted August 30, 2010 Report Posted August 30, 2010 i have had my phone with the same SIM for 5 months and I still got it free soooo. .
Guest psionandy Posted August 30, 2010 Report Posted August 30, 2010 It's not free. it's discounted. 6 Months for £20. about 4 months ago I got the text.... and have had free access since then. In this case it was free!
Guest alpha232 Posted August 30, 2010 Report Posted August 30, 2010 Thx for heads up but need to make it clear this is for new mobile customers and/or new handsets. It wasn't when I got it, and one of my friends used it a few weeks after and it still worked on his old phone so..?
Guest Vipaldo Posted August 30, 2010 Report Posted August 30, 2010 I just tried it, and it works had my pulse for nearly a year now.
Guest Bibbly Posted August 30, 2010 Report Posted August 30, 2010 I just tried it, and it works had my pulse for nearly a year now. I got the text completely out of the blue a few months back and because I still had the £20 unlimited internet still running, I left it until yesterday to activate, and it worked. Nice one T-Mobile! Now if they would only improve the 2G and 3G signal round here it might actually be useful!
Guest Spook Tooth Posted August 30, 2010 Report Posted August 30, 2010 I bought 3 T-Mobile Pulses back in December and, along with the MIN2 (free 30 mins talktime each month) text I received managed to activate two of the 3 devices. Why the other one failed is beyond me.
Guest Rem1x Posted August 30, 2010 Report Posted August 30, 2010 While we're on the topic of sending things to 441, text int to get cheaper texts and calls to international numbers
Guest JumboSlim Posted August 30, 2010 Report Posted August 30, 2010 I've had my Pulse since October, since then I have used a blackberry sim with 12 months free internet, I texted this tonight and I now have an extra 6 months of unlimited internet and for FREE. ;) :( Thanks for the heads up.

My bad, must just be me who can't get it to work, typical!
Guest TGWS Posted August 31, 2010 Report Posted August 31, 2010 If i done this and was on contract, would it cost?
Guest Daz555 Posted August 31, 2010 Report Posted August 31, 2010 (edited) If i done this and was on contract, would it cost? What do you mean? If you are on contract then a 6 month PAYG internet deal is irrelevant. Edited August 31, 2010 by Daz555
Guest DanWilson Posted August 31, 2010 Report Posted August 31, 2010 "Sorry, this offer is for customers with selected handsets only. Please reply using your new handset."

When I bought the phone, I immediately put in my Blackberry sim, so when I tried this it showed up as a new phone...or something like that.
Guest Speckles Posted August 31, 2010 Report Posted August 31, 2010 It says I'm not allowed to use this offer as I'm already on a 6 month web deal, despite the fact that I had to pay £20 to get it  :( ;) :D
Guest Simon O Posted August 31, 2010 Report Posted August 31, 2010 "Sorry, this offer is for customers with selected handsets only. Please reply using your new handset." ;) I had that happen when I first got my Pulse. One message to TMobileUK on Twitter got it sorted

Guest JingleManSweep Posted September 1, 2010 Report Posted September 1, 2010 This has always been the case for all PAYG Android (or other smartphones that require full-time internet access to work properly). It has been documented on the Pulse Wiki page for some time: http://wiki.modaco.com/index.php/Huawei_U8220#T-Mobile_UK_3
