Guest Bodom247 Posted August 30, 2010 Report Posted August 30, 2010 Unable to get past step 1...when downloading Eboot get an error that it failed and Checksum at the top. Tried 4 times now on 2 different computers... both having XP with Activesync 4.5 and mobile drivers installed. Any fixes or help would be super appreciated!
Guest adhip Posted August 30, 2010 Report Posted August 30, 2010 You mean you can't upgrade you i900 using custom ROM? If your phone still detected by activesync, try upgrade/downgrade using the Official Samsung Updater 1st, . Then, try upgrade using custom ROM.

It will cycle up to 4 times trying to download eboot and will end up either hang or give a Checksum error message. It seems this computer has an USB1 than an USB2 port. Once I move over to a newer computer (Pentium 4), the problem just went away. The eboot download step is actually very fast, less than 1 minute. The next step of downloading PDA software will take few minutes with a progress bar displayed on the Omnia and also the firmware update software. Edited September 4, 2010 by YP Goh

Have you flashed the phone without it?
