Hi there,

last friday I decided to root and flash to MCR8, mainly for A2SD+. Since yesterday evening my Desire started to become extremely slow. Any ideas on what may be causing this?

Please see attached Quick System Info report.

thanx already.

I try almost all roms ...

MCR8 i found it very stable and very fast rom.

A2SD+ need partitioned sd card....

Try to wipe eveything and partion your sd card....and make ext2 to 3ext. You can use AmonRa recovery

Do a full-wipe. Flash again and reboot after first boot.

Thx,

I've already partionned the SD-card last friday using Rommanager. Not sure if it's ext3 though...

Anyway to check?

Generally the ROM is comparable to MCR3.1, but I do find a bit of lag while typing.

I get that quite a bit. It's intermittent and only lasts a few seconds, but it's quite annoying. I'm not sure if this has something to do with the HTC IME mod?

More than likely is mate. I'm using the normal HTC Keyboard and it works perfectly, never lags. That's the problem I had before, got rid of HTC IME mod, and boom, works like a charm ;)

I'm using the HTC IME mod keyboard and am not experiencing the problems described here. So I doubt that the keyboard is the issue. Although I actually prefer the stock HTC keyboard to the modded one.

Same thing againg.. Desire has become extremely slow and I mean non-responsive. Tapping a button, hard or soft, takes seconds for something to happen.

I've reflashed somewhere on tuesday to MCR8, from the kitchen, with a2sd and did wipe before doing so.

Anyone any suggestions to why it's this slow...

Do you still have the browser open in the background with a page that keeps on refreshing itself/ads?

I've found this a few times where the system takes around 10 seconds to respond to a click or menu press. Went to Menu/Settings/Applications/Manage/Running and killed the browser then all is fast again.

Same here- desire lags after a while.

Only restarting resolves the problem...

Thx

I'll wipe everything again and will boot again after initial setup.(although I think I've done it the last time)

I'll let you know if it was successful.

Thanks :P
