Customize the theme of streak

hello to you all I would ask how I can change the theme of my streak o2 2.1. I tried to follow some guidelines such as: apk rename the application to amend apk.zip then modify the images contained in res. but once adjusted if I try to replace me in the star by an error even though I have root permissions. there is some guidance for such changes?

I would also ask you one last thing I would do everything directly from my mac (via Cyberduck type with wifi or via USB with any application) and do everything by the streak

Why not simply using a replacement such ADW.Launcher which has themes. It would be much easier to make a theme for ADW than for the Dell overlay.
