First of all, I'm sorry if this has been already posted.

On this page:

There is a method to make flash work on Android 2.1.

They say it's tested on N1 and other devices. (Therefore it seems OEM customization-agnostic)

People are commenting it also works on samsung devices.

I've installed the provided APK, it installs ok but it doesn't work.

Why is it?

Is our Liquid not the same as other 2.1 devices?

thank you

I am not sure about flesh lite preinstalled thing, because it is said that it is working on stock N1 Eclair.

It might require some updated libraries which haven't been provided in Liquid FW.

No Flash on 2.1 until someone ports webkit from Froyo to Eclair. I don't have much time recently, but I've started stripping webkit from Android into independent APK. Anyway, getting proper Froyo from phh and guys is more intriguing - wait for them  Maybe I will finish that stupid task some day, maybe not. Until then - no Flash for 2.1.

Glad you still around Auxx ;)

Webkit lib for froyo is optimized to work with JIT right and that is the problem?

Any chance for compiling froyo lib with reworked dependencies?

Webkit is written in C++, it does not depend on Java/JIT/whatever. The problems are:

1. I'm lazy. Oh yes I am!

2. I don't have much free time. Maybe I had if I was not so lazy...

3. There are system level changes in Froyo - when you compile webkit, some new dynamic libraries are created along the way.

4. I don't know C and Linux well, so it's like pointing your finger in the sky resolving dependencies. I don't even understand how the build system works, lol (: I'm a Windows guy, sorry.

I easily found dependency issues in Java part (web browser interface, old one will not work properly sadly) because I know Java well and work with it every day, but now it's time to move to C++ part and my hands are layed down.

so yep, I'm a bad dev. Buy hey, at least I did not cry for donations and then run away (:
