Guest Downhillman Posted September 1, 2010 Report Posted September 1, 2010 I bought a HTC desire from a certain auction site a couple of days ago and was looking at the software information: Firmware version: 2.1-update1 Baseband version: 32.30.00.28U_4.05.00.11 Kernel Version: 2.6.29-bravo-mck-r1 paul@paul-OBriens-iMac 2 Build Number: 1.21.MCR.2 CLxxxxxx release-keys Software Number: MoDaCo Custom ROM r3.1 for the HTC Desire Browser Version: Webkit 3.1 I am assuming this phone has been "rooted" In the last few days I have been trying to upgrade to 2.2, but I keep failing. Is this because the phone is rooted. I have seen on the forums 2.2 is available, do I have to unroot the phone then re-reoot it? Or is It possible to return to the factory settings Also whenever i try and add my facebook account to the phone nothing happens...any ideas? I'm not sure how much of the above makes sense, but any help would be greatly appreciated
