Guest michi15 Posted September 1, 2010 Report Posted September 1, 2010 Hi Paul! Can you have look here: http://bit.ly/d5zZLU Perhaps you can solve this in future roms. Thanks
Guest blackcoffee85 Posted September 1, 2010 Report Posted September 1, 2010 HTC need to implement OAuth - in the meantime you'll have to use another Twitter client. The official one is better than Peep anyway!

Guest michi15 Posted September 1, 2010 Report Posted September 1, 2010 Amen to that! Been using it since its release and have removed Peep from my ROM Yes that's true but I need it for friendstream.
Guest tsutton Posted September 1, 2010 Report Posted September 1, 2010 HTC is aware about it when I emailed them earlier today - "We are currently investigating an issue with our Peep client that has stopped working and hope to have a solution soon"
Guest EddyOS Posted September 1, 2010 Report Posted September 1, 2010 No you don't, just turn Twitter off on FS and use the Twitter widget instead...
Guest yukkio Posted September 1, 2010 Report Posted September 1, 2010 May be last OTA has a updated peep client?
Guest blackcoffee85 Posted September 1, 2010 Report Posted September 1, 2010 HTC is aware about it when I emailed them earlier today - "We are currently investigating an issue with our Peep client that has stopped working and hope to have a solution soon" What a failure - it was announced months ago that Basic Auth would be shut down!
Guest teunke99 Posted September 1, 2010 Report Posted September 1, 2010 Twitter changed the authentication august 16th (I thought I've read) but Peep wasn't failing until I've flashed MCR8. With the original OTA is was working until august 27th.
Guest tsutton Posted September 1, 2010 Report Posted September 1, 2010 What a failure - it was announced months ago that Basic Auth would be shut down! Yeah, HTC has been lazy :/

Yes, it was marked for August for the switch off, but it was delayed until 1st Sept so Twitter could give more time for the devs to catch up with updating their apps. HTC didn't bother and the rest is history. At least they're doing something about it...

Guest prokher Posted September 8, 2010 Report Posted September 8, 2010 I don't know how, but it just works finally, great.
Guest michi15 Posted September 8, 2010 Report Posted September 8, 2010 HTC fixed the issue in cooperation with twitter - since 4 days it works.
