Google Voice Actions Crashing

One thing I have noticed with all the stock/stock-derived ROMs running Sense on Froyo is that the Google Voice Actions crashes in certain circumstances. It is repeatable and has happened to me enough times across different ROMs to indicate that this is indeed a bug either in Google Voice Actions or the way it interfaces with the Sense UI. For reference, I have also ran Cyanogen 6 on the Desire and the voice actions does not encounter the same Force Close issue that I am talking about.

Namely, if you are attempting a voice action (e.g. send a text message by saying "text <person X>") and you wish to add text to the message (works for email or self note as well) using voice, the application crashes and the "Force Close" message is displayed. Also notable is that this happens regardless of whether you use the native Android email/messaging client or the one built into the Sense UI. I have tried permutations of both and neither seems to rectify the situation for me.

Anyone have any idea what the problem is? Has anyone even experienced this on their Desire?
