Handcent SMS / ADW / Wallpaper Problem

Is anyone else getting this problem ?

I am using ADW Launcher and Handcent SMS ,

If I receive an SMS , then start typing a quick reply , after about 10 seconds , the screen goes black (apart from the Handcent quick reply window which remains visable ) ...and then it all comes back to life again , but with the stock O2 Dome wallpaper , rather than whichever one I had selected

Thought it was all just co-incidence , but seems to happen every time now !

Any suggestions ?
