Guest mancterrier Posted September 2, 2010 Report Posted September 2, 2010 Ok, so like a total nob I got a bit giddy with my phone and removed a few system apps with titanium backup. The one that seems to be important having now read around the internet for the last 24 hrs is Gtalk which is directly linked to market downloads. I am unable to download anything from the market(just freezes on starting download). I have tried reinstalling gtalk from several apk links on the internet but doesnt seem to work. Gtalk installs but then I just get a blank back screen and the market still is gubbed. Does any one have any ideas of how I can get the market working again? If i revert back to my original factory condition(o2 1.6 uk) would this reinstall gtalk etc? Its not so bad if theres a 2.1 ota coming soon anyway. If so whats the easiest way to achieve this? Please help! ;)
Guest fards Posted September 2, 2010 Report Posted September 2, 2010 if you run an update.pkg (such as the 4339) it'll work.. didn't you back up gtalk with Ti backup before you uninstalled it?

No  Ive got all 3 apk files but they dont seem to work. I'm just trying to revert back to 1.6 now(4339). When i go into fastboot mode though the software doesnt install correctly on my pc and therefore the streak doesnt go into fastboot mode. I have dell pc suite installed...

I have dell pc suite installed... why are you messing with fastboot? put the update.pkg on your sdcard and go into recovery, press 2 and it should load.. if you're using clockwork, then use Pauls 4339 update.zip through clockwork recovery
