Alternative to the power off button

Hi there,

My Power Off button is somehow not working properly... When I press it, it most of the time does not respond. I have wiped all data/cache and reinstalled r8 but it still does not work... so it's definitely a hardware issue.

I am now using the trackpad to wake up the phone, however I still haven't found an alternative for displaying the power-off menu and locking up the phone.

Does anyone would have an idea how I could solve this problem?

Actually I would like to long-press on the trackpad when I am on the Home screen to display the power-off menu, but maybe there is a better alternative...
