Instant Heart Rate

What they say

Measures your heart rate using the build-in camera.

Place your finger gently over the camera. Hold it steady for at least 10 seconds. Your current heart rate will be shown on the display.

There is a lower limit at 50bpm it will be removed at next update.

I know I know, it sounds like it shouldn't work... but it really does! :huh: Ensure you have good lighting when using (although on my Streak it turns on the flash to light your finger!) and amaze your friends. A real Android showoff application. ;)

I just tested this, and it works, even under 50bpm ! (I do a lot of running & mtb'ing)

I compared it to the heart beat watch and chestband I usually use, and it's as accurate!

Clearly Mrshark has dexterous thumbs!

Anyway, maybe I didn't have the right lighting but when I tried this the rating jumped around a lot; anything from 60-80bpm (It even said 117 briefly)

anyway, there's an indian man, which makes android smartphones demo on youtube, with two thumbs on a single hand... he can do it! ;)

if ya wana see how this works, open the video camera app and enable the led flash, then place ur finger over the lens until it all goes red, then watch around the edges and youll see your pulse

Does anyone know if this app has been taken down as i am having problem finding it on the market and with the Barcode. Alternatively, has anyone the .apk ?

I been waiting to try this since I first heard about it, and now since getting my android, can't download the app.
